PURPOSE:To attain quick telephone call by connecting a call to [104] automatically to request the retrieval when an object opposite party is not retrievable so as to be connected to a clarified number automatically thereby eliminating the need for retrieval of a telephone book. CONSTITUTION:When an object telephone number is selected from a telephone number stored in a storage section 2 of a central processing section 1 and a telephone call is connected automatically, if an object data does not exist in the storage section 2, it is displayed on a display section 5 that the call is connected to [104] because no data is unregistered. A number [104] is outputted automatically from the central processing section 1 to an automatic selection signal transmitter 9, called automatically via a public telephone line 6 and connected to the telephone guide. After the clarified telephone number is inputted in a memory 12 of the central processing section 1 by operating a ten-key of an operation section 13, a specific key of the operation section 13 is operated, then the public telephone line 6 is opened and closed again automatically, the telephone number stored in the memory 12 is sent to the automatic selection signal transmitter 9 and the call is supplied automatically to the opposite party.
