<p>PURPOSE:To attain faborable stacking performance by stopping the drive of paper discharge rollers, with the trailing end of a document nipped by the paper discharge rollers, and again driving the paper discharge rollers in an automatic document feeder of a copying machine. CONSTITUTION:On setting a document 1 on a document table 20 and switching on a copy button, the document 1 is fed into a separation roller 3 by a calling roller 2, and the uppermost document is fed into a pair of pull-out rollers 4. The document 1 is checked on the length and the leading end by a registration sensor 9, and transported on a contact glass 8 to a reference position by a belt 5. After exposure of a main body is completed, the document 1 is discharged to a convex portion 13 by the belt 5 and paper discharge rollers 11, 12. When a paper discharge sensor 10 detects the trailing end of the document, a motor 16 is stopped by a control device not shown before the trailing end of the document 1 gets out the paper discharge rollers 11, 12. The final document is detected by a sensor 19, and in response to the detection signal, the paper discharge roller 11 is again driven.</p> |
