The spindle drive according to the invention consists of a spindle and a nut. The longitudinal movement is converted into a rotary movement by the interaction of the internal thread of the nut with the thread of the spindle, either the spindle or the nut being axially fixed and the respective other element being arranged in axially movable fashion. The special feature is that the thread of the spindle and the internal thread of the nut have at least eight flights.
