PURPOSE:To prevent a drop in the temperature of a fixing roller during continuous copying operation and to prevent the occurrence of a defect in fixation by making a process speed constant and extending the nonexposure time of an exposure scanning part according to the drop in the temperature of the fixing roller. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of a temperature sensor 51 for the fixing roller is supplied to a CPU52 and proper temperature of the fixing roller is stored in a RAM54. Then, the temperature of the fixing roller is compared by the CPU52 with the proper temperature during continuous copying operation and the process speed is held constant according to a drop in the temperature; and a motor 57 is controlled through a driver circuit 55 so that the nonexposure time of the exposure scanning part becomes long, and the time from the return point of the exposure scanning part to next feeding is set long. Thus, the temperature of the fixing roller is prevented from falling and the occurrence of a defect in fixation during the continuous copying operation is also prevented. |
