PURPOSE:To eliminate an unwiped portion by providing the stationary gear of a gear mechanism transmitting the driving force of a motor to a wiper arm via a one-way clutch and rotating this stationary gear integrally with the wiper arm only in one-way. CONSTITUTION:A wiper arm drive mechanism 15 is constituted with a gear mechanism 16 and a link mechanism 17. The stationary gear 16a of a gear mechanism 16 is provided via a one-way clutch 19, and the stationary gear 16a is connected to the link mechanism 17 via a driven gear 16b. The link mechanism is connected to a wiper arm 10. The stationary gear 16a is rotated by the one-way clutch 19 integrally with the wiper arm 10 only in the return direction of the wiper arm 10. Therefore, the wiper arm 10 is not expanded or shrunk in the return stroke of the wiper arm 10, thus the circular motion locus of a wiper blade can be obtained, and no unwiped portion is generated. |
