Plastics profiles with a relief pattern are made by blowing up a previously plastified plastic profile inside a mould. In a pref. embodiment, a heat softened plastics profile is introduced into a mould which leaves the ends of the profile free, sealing heads are inserted into the projecting ends of the profile, and compressed air is passed into the profile through the sealing heads to blow the profile up against the mould walls.
