PURPOSE:To produce quickly a cured casting mold having high strength by using a furan resin contg. specific furfuryl alcohol and passing air through an uncured casting mold at a specific flow rate. CONSTITUTION:The furan resin contg. >=70wt% furfuryl alcohol and a binder contg. a curing catalyst are kneaded with molding sand. After the uncured molding sand is molded, the air is passed through the molding sand mold at >=5m<3>/min flow rate for each 1m<2> sectional area of the molding sand mold perpendicular to the air permeation direction. The cured casting mold is thus produced quckly without the need for a toxic gas and heat energy. |
