PURPOSE:To contrive to improve discharge efficiency, by a method wherein a concave section is formed on an outside side surface of the lid of a laser tube and a condensor, which impresses a voltage to a discharge electrode, is housed in and disposed in the concave section. CONSTITUTION:A concave section 14 is formed on an outside surface center of a lid 13 of a laser tube made of synthetic resin in a longitude direction and plural parallel plate condensors 15 are housed in and disposed at prescribed interval in the concave section. Glow-discharge is performed between a discharge electrode 17 and 20 when the terminal voltage of the condensor 15 is raised up to the discharge starting voltage, and laser oscillation is generated while laser medium gas is excited. The distances between the condensor 15 and the electrodes 17, 20 are short, so that loop cross section, which is enclosed by a circuit loop where discharge current flows, can be small. Thereby inductance possessed by the circuit loop can be lowered, so discharge efficiency is improved. |
