PURPOSE:To improve welding strength and to reduce cost by incorporating elements of 1 or >=2 kinds selected from Ti group elements, V group elements and Y into Si which is a basic component. CONSTITUTION:An alumina ceramic weldable alloy is formed by using the Si as the basic component and incorporating element such as Ti, V, Nb and Y therein. The quantity of the elements to be added can be substd. with other elements such as Fe, Ni, Co, Al and Cu up to about 30% range according to purposes and applications. The contact angle which is hereto fore 30-70 deg. is improved to 0 deg. by the above-mentioned method and therefore the welding strength of alumina ceramics is remarkably improved. Since the raw materials are inexpensively available, the cost reduction is made possible. |
