PURPOSE:To reduce the occurrence of a paper jam as well as to improve the rate of operation in a transaction processing device, by discriminating a conveying form of bank notes immediately after being delivered from a delivering device, while discharging abnormal notes at onece in time of trouble happening in the conveying form. CONSTITUTION:A delivery sensor 5 detects the bank note delivered at first, and if a counting value of length counter is larger than setting value, it is stored in memory as being a chain note. Next, when the second note is delivered out of a delivery roller 3, the sensor 5 detects it, and counts clock pulses in number equivalent to a priod till the second note is detected from the first one detected, and if the counting value is smaller than the setting value, it is stored in memory to be an abnormal note as judging it a drag note. And, the first note being discriminted in its length is conveyed along a conveying route 4, then a skew sensor 6 detects the note, and when a skew note is the case, one side of two sensors first detects it, storing it as an abnormal note at a time when a counting value of a skew counter is more than the setting value, thus a distributing flapper 8 distributes a portion of abnormal notes to the side of a return port 10. |
