PURPOSE:To maintain high efficiency combustion without increasing dusts in the combustion gas by providing a flow change-over mechanism by which the fuel flows into either one of a chamber that communicates between a fuel supply channel and a nozzle or a by-pass passage for an atomization agent. CONSTITUTION:During low load, a by-pass valve 16 is opened and a main valve 17 is closed. Fuel A enters a chamber 7 bia a fuel supply passage 4 and reaches diffusers 10 and 11 via a nozzles 8 and 9. On the other hand an atomization agent B flows into the diffuser 10 and the diffuser 11 respectively via an atomization agent passage (by-pass passage) 12 and an atomization agent passage (by-pass passage) 13, where the agent B becomes swirl flow to joint the fuel A. Next during high load, the by-pass valve 16 is closed and the main valve 17 is opened. On the other hand after the atomization agent B joins the fuel A in the flow passage in the internal intermediate body 3, it flows into the chamber 7. Accordingly atomization characteristic of the internal mixture type with little temporal variation is obtained in the chamber 7.
