PURPOSE:To prevent a weld defect by connecting two pieces of welding rods disposed on both sides of a vertical member in series to each other via both arcs and vertical member. CONSTITUTION:Holders 28a, 28b are disposed to weld lines 22a, 22b on both sides at the bottom end of the vertical member 21 and the welding rods 29a, 29b are mounted thereto. The top ends of the rods 29a, 29b are connected via the holders 28a, 28b to output terminals 25a, 25b of a welding machine 26. The bottom ends thereof are brought into contact respectively with the weld lines 22a, 22b. The output terminals 25a, 25b, the holders 28a, 28b, the rods 29a, 29b and the base metal form one series circuit. The electric current flowing through both arcs of welding is the same and therefore the melting speed of both rods 29a, 29b is made equal. The weld defect occurring in the difference in the melting speed is thus prevented. |
