PURPOSE:To permit to discharge waste slags in a contineous process using a simple structure arrangement by a method wherein both metal slag discharge exit and slag discharge one are provided at furnace wall unit of a melting furnace, further, both metal.slag overflow storage and slag overflow one, which are capable of adjusting overflow volume of the both slags, are installed respectively in an electric resistance type melting furnace. CONSTITUTION:When waste incinerated adhes are delivered into a furnace and electrode 6 are energized, then metal.slags begin to accumulate in a bottom part of a melting furnace 1. In this case, an upright weir 15 is provided with a height up to reach an overflow level of the metal.slag overflow storage 9, the remaining height of the weir is removed afterwards. During melting operation, metal layer 3 and slag layer 4 are formed and reaching the limited their levels of their layers, the metal slag and slag are overflow from the respective overflow storages 9, 10. The overflowed slag is dropped in the underlying metal slag overflow storage 9, which is projecting in horizontal way and filled with metal wastes, subsequently, slag is flowed out involving in metal waste from the overflow storage. Accordingly, decrease in temperature of metal waste is avoidable even in a case the metal waste volume in a decreased condition, since the metal is mixed with the dropped slag. |
