发明名称 CURING BY POLYMERIZATION WITH LASER IRRADIATION
摘要 PURPOSE:To decrease a required energy dose, by adding a substance which can selectively absorb light in the infrared region in heat-curing a composition containing an active double bond-containing polymerizable compound and a polymerization initiator by irradiation with laser beam. CONSTITUTION:A polymerizable compound having at least one double bond (e.g., methyl acrylate or 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate) is mixed with a polymerization initiator (e.g., benzoyl peroxide or azobisisobutyronitrile) and a substance which can selectively absorb light in the infrared region and has a high transmittance to light in the visible region (e.g., fine powder of an IR absorption filter glass comprising a phosphate salt). The resulting polymerizable composition is heat- cured in good energy efficiency by irradiation with laser beam. This process can be used suitably in curing a filling material for restoring carious teeth.
