PURPOSE:To enable the useful life of a two-color printing ribbon to be doubled, by a construction wherein both side printing section bands of a two-color printing ribbon comprising three printing section bands with a width ratio of about 1:2:1 are colored in the first color, while the central printing section band is colored in the second color, and the ends of the ribbon are jointed to each other so that the ribbon is set into the form of a Mobius ring. CONSTITUTION:Of the two-color printing ribbon 6 having a width of l, both side printing section bands 6a, 6c are colored in the first color, e.g., black, while the central printing section band 6b is colored in the second color, e.g., red, in a width ratio of 1:2:1, and both end parts 6d, 6e of the ribbon 6 are jointed to each other while twisting them 180 deg. relative to each other, whereby the ribbon 6 is set into the form of a Mobius ring. In using the ribbon by enclosing it in a ribbon casing, the printing section band 6a and a half of the printing section band 6b adjacent to the band 6a are used in the first run of the ribbon 6, while appropriately switching from the band 6a to the band 6b as required. After the first run, the ribbon 6 is reversed upside down and face side back, and the residual half of the band 6b and the band 6c are used in the second run of the ribbon 6. |
