PURPOSE:To recognize properly the position and the location of a caller by displaying the position information of the caller to a called party in talking connection. CONSTITUTION:When a caller A hooks off a handset, a central controller 3 connects the caller A to a register 2. When the caller A dials the number of the called party B next, the controller 3 starts a main storage device 4 and transfers the caller number and the position information of the caller stored in the device 4 to a display control circuit 5. A call signal is sent to the called party B as shown in broken lines II and a call tone is sent to the caller A as shown in broken lines III. When the called party B responds to the signal, the controller 3 connects the caller A and the called party B as shown in broken lines IV. The circuit 5 drives a display device 6 installed at the caller party B to display the caller number and the position information to the device 6 as shown in broken lines V. Thus, the called party B confirms visually the position and the location of the caller. |
