COMPOSITE BRAZING FILLER METAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the brazability of ceramics and metal by using any one kind of Ti, Zr and Hf as an intermediate material and pasting brazing filler metals having a specific difference in m. p. to both surfaces thereof. CONSTITUTION:Any one kind among Ti, Zr and Hf is used for the intermediate material 2 and the brazing filler metal 3 having the m. p. lower than the m. p. of the material 2 and the brazing filler metal 4 having the m. p. higher than the m. p. of said material are rolled and are adhered onto the top and bottom surfaces of the material 2. Ag-Cu and Ag-Cu-Pd are used as the brazing filler metals 3, 4 and the difference in the m. p. from the material 2 is kept within 100 deg.C. The brazing filler metal 3 having the lower m. p. is positioned to face the ceramic side and the brazing filler metal 4 to face the metal side and the metals are brazed. The material 2 gathers preferentially to the boundary on the ceramic side and the metal side reacts only with the component of the brazing filler metal 4 having the higher m. p. according to the above-mentioned method, by which the brazability is improved.
