<p>PURPOSE:To preserve vegetables, etc. without causing the decay, change in quality, and reduction in appetite, by precooling and preserving vegetables, etc. stored in a preserving room by a differential pressure ventilating action having such a cold air as not to cause low-temperature disorder and by a room cleaning action. CONSTITUTION:The harvesting boxes 13 putting the reaped vegetables A, etc. in themselves are piled on the partition board 5 in the preserving room 2. The pressure fan 7 and the stirring fan 12 are rotated, and a cooling unit is operated so that cold air at a temperature (about -5 deg.C) not causing the low-temperature disorder of the vegetables, etc. is introduced to the preserving room 2. Consequently, the pressure in the preserving room 2 is made higher than that of the ventilating room 3, and the cold air is circulated through the harvesting boxes 13, the ventilating room 3, and the mechanical room 4 by the differential pressure ventilating action so that the vegetables A, etc. are precooled. After they are precooled to the desired temperature, the preserving room is kept at a constant cooling temperature mainly by the room cooling action of the cooling fan 10 while operating intermittently the pressure fan 7.</p> |
