An unencased switching module which can be plugged-in vertically by means of metal pins (M) and which comprises an electrically insulating carrier (T) for carrying a row of the metal pins (M) arranged in the plane of the carrier as external electrical terminals, leads (L), one or more electrical components, including at least one unencased, integrated semiconductor switching body (H) and/or at least one resistance path or resistance surface, and a metal cooling plate (KB) which covers the carrier (T) over a large area in heat-dissipating manner, particularly but not exclusively for coder-decoder modules of a digital telephone exchange system, characterised in that its massive single-in-line-plug-in-type carrier (T) which is made of an insulator, e. g. of plastic film or ceramic, but not its metal pins (M), is, to a large extent, at least connected at one side face to the cooling plate (KB), which is, for example, earthed, by adhesion, power loss during operation being almost exclusively dissipated by passing cooling air, and, in order to increase its mechanical rigidity, the cooling plate (KB) has an angled extension (E, KB2) parallel to the row of the metal pins (M) and along the edge of the cooling plate (KB) which faces away from the metal pins (M). |
