PURPOSE:To perform fire extinction, without using a sensor or a control system, by diffusing fluid from a pipe through a number of through holes on the pipe which are filled with a heat sensitive material which changes its shape to make paths for the liquid when the temperature rises. CONSTITUTION:On the wall of pipe 1 are provided a number of through holes 11 at regular intervals in the axial and circumferential directions, and said through holes are filled with plugs 2 of a material which changes its shape by sensing the temperature rise. A plastic resin which melts as the temperature rises or a shape memory alloy is used as a material which changes its shape by sensing the temperature rises. In the event of a fire, when the temperature around the plug 2 rises over the thermal deformation point, the disk-shaped plastic part 21 of the plug 2 undergoes thermal deformation and is thrusted out of the pipe 1 by the pressure of water in the pipe 1, allowing the inside water to blow out of the through holes 11 to extinguish the fire.
