PURPOSE:To improve response, by a method wherein a desired line oil pressure is decided in relation to the operating condition of a transmission, and DC driving motor, driving a hydraulic pump, is run so as to produce the desired line oil pressure. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic pump 40 is driven by a DC driving motor 50 to generate the line oil pressure of a closed hydraulic circuit system adapted to control a belt type continuously variable transmission 16. Through detection of the speed ratio and the like of the transmission 16, a line oil pressure is decided by a controller 62, and the DC driving motor 50, adapted to drive the hydraulic pump 40, is controlled so as to produce the decided line oil pressure. Compared with a conventional oil pressure generator actuated by a variable volume hydraulic pump, this enables relief of a power loss, and improvement of response. |
