<p>PURPOSE:To diminish the SO3 quantity to be discharged and to prevent the condensation and the adhesion of SO3 on a duct or the like by feeding a powdery basic compd. in a combustion gas in the temp. which is the dew point and above of SO3 contained in the gas and the decomposition m.p. and below of the powder and thereafter subjecting the combustion gas to the gas-liquid contact treatment. CONSTITUTION:A powdery basic compd. 6 such as Mg(OH)2 fed from a hopper 7 is prayed into a combustion gas sent from a boiler 1 by the preheated pressurized air between a preheater 2 and an induction blower 3 and SO3 contained in the combustion gas is adsorbed and removed while it is present in a gaseous state. The combustion gas reduced in SO3 concn. is sent to a cascade type absorption tower 4 together with the supplied powder and brought into gas-liquid contact with the Mg(OH)2 slurry or the like to remove SO2. In such a way, since SO3 concn. is lowered even if cooling the combustion gas by the gas-liquid contact, the generated quantity of the condensed particles is less and the quantity of SO3 which is made into fine particles and accompanies with the combustion gas and discharged can be diminished.</p> |
