PURPOSE:To allow a probe holder to profile the curvature of an object body which has the curvature at an end part and to perform flaw detection automatically up to the end part of the object body by providing a profiling mechanism to a support part through a parallel link mechanism and then supporting the probe holder through another parallel link mechanism which moves up and down while following up the profiling mechanism. CONSTITUTION:This flaw detecting device inspect the object body 11 whose end part is curved, and the profiling mechanism part 17 is supported on the support part 16 through the parallel link mechanism 19 and brings plural profiling assisting rollers into contact with the object body 11 when the object body 11 is carried in to profile it. The probe holder 18 is supported at the exit side of this profiling mechanism 17 through the parallel link mechanism 21 and irradiates the curved part of the object body 11 with an ultrasonic beams at desired intervals to detect a flaw of the object body 11. Consequently, the probe group of the probe holder 18 performs flaw detection while maintaining desired distance from the object body 11, so even if the object to flaw detection has curvature at its end part, the automatic flaw detection is attained completely. |
