PURPOSE:To obtain a device capable of performing automatic backwashing by expanding clearance between each filter element evenly by holding each filter element on an element holder by means of a parallel linking mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Each filter element 10 is held on element holders 11-14 by means of a parallel linking mechanism. Therefore, the width (f) of the passage between the elements 10 is adjusted to even width, by changing the angle of inclination theta of each element 10. Accordingly, the clearance of each element 10 is lessened by enlarging the inclination angle theta in the filtration stage, and the clearance of the element 10 is increased by reducing the inclination angle thetaof the element 10 in the backwashing stage. As the result, a larger passage width (f) is resulted in the backwashing stage, so the backwashing can be performed easily.
