<p>PURPOSE:To form cooling grooves at fixed intervals between insulated wires by fitting spacers onto an insulative coated wire. CONSTITUTION:A spacer 4 is ring-shaped, provided with a cut 4' at one place and formed by insulating material having moderate elasticity such as plastics. The inner diameter of the spacer 4 is substantially equal to an outer diameter of strand 3 composed of a conductor 1 and an insulating coating 2. When the spacer 4 is fitted onto the strand, the spacer 4 is joined to the strand 3. In winding operations, the spacers 4 are fitted onto the strand 3 delivered from strand bobbin 5 at moderate intervals, and then the strand 3 is rolled up on a spool 6.</p> |
