PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet head which does not generate rust and etc. in spite of use for extended period by forming a passivated film on a surface of the ink jet head formed by diffusion bonding of a thin plate. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet head is formed by diffusion bonding with heating of a thin plate which forms an ink passage and at least one sheet of another thin plate. Then, the head is dipped preferably in an aqueous solution of an oxidative acid (for example; nitric acid etc.) and the surface of the above stated ink passage wall is processed for passivity, and subject ink jet head is obtained. Further, it is desirable that the inside of the container in which the head is being dipped is maintained to be under vacuum. |
