PURPOSE:To prevent the overvoltage of an output of a power source of a blocking oscillation type from being produced with a simple circuit by providing a circuit for detecting the overvoltage of a turning OFF capacitor to operate a controller with the output. CONSTITUTION:A power source in which a switching transistor TR1 is connected in series with the primary winding N1 of a converter transformer 2 and controlled by a blocking oscillation type, a circuit 6 for detecting the overvoltage of a turning OFF capacitor C1 charged when the transistor TR1 is OFF is provided. This circuit 6 may be formed, for example, of a Zener diode D4. A thyristor SC for turning OFF is conducted by the output of the circuit 6 to turn OFF the transistor TR1 at a timing for suppressing output voltages V1, V2. |
