PURPOSE:To prevent an outer shell from deformation owing to expanding heat by inserting a special jig into a cavity when expandable resin is injected into the inner part of the outer shell having an under-cut cavity and expanded to manufacture a heat insulator. CONSTITUTION:When a heat insulator 20 is expanded to fill the inner part of an outer shell 1, first, the outer shell 1 is mounted on a lower jig 6 and an expanding jig assembly 8 is mounted on the outer shell 1. An upper jig 7 is pressed on it, the operating member 12 of the jig assembly 8 is dropped against the force of a spring 14, the lower end part 12a goes into the cavity 4 and push members 16, 17 are revolved and displaced to come into contact with the inner wall surface of the cavity 4. In this way, expandable resin is injected into the inner part of the outer shell 1, even when it is heated in expansion, the outer shell 1 can be prevented from deformation. |
