PURPOSE:To obtain a permanent magnet having an anisotropic structure suitable for outer peripheral multi-polar magnitization and exhibiting superior magnetic characteristics by providing a portion having a magnetization-easy direction sequentially varying from its radial direction to its chord direction as a third portion at the boundary between its outer peripheral portion and inner peripheral portion. CONSTITUTION:Seen from the direction of the shaft of symmetry, the permanent magnet is provided with a part 1 where the magnitization-easy direction is along its radial direction at its outer peripheral portion, a part 2 where the magnitization-easy direction varies along its radial direction from its chord direction in proportion as the direction approaches its center at its intermediate portion and a part 3 where the magnitization-easy direction is along its radial direction at its inner peripheral portion. With this structure, the magnitization- easy direction firstly is in parallel with its radial direction at its most outer peripheral portion near the surface of its concavity, sequentially varies in the direction approaching its chord direction in proportion as the direction approaches its center and becomes in parallel with its chord direction at the portion most near its center at its concavity.
