PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency, by displaying a microcomputer program together with a sequence program on the screen of a CRT provided to the peripheral equipment of a programmable controller. CONSTITUTION:When discriminating that the referred content of a memory A is not a display converting signal 10, a programmable controller (PC) displays the referred content of the memory A, namely, a sequence program (SP) 9, in the case of the example in the figure, on a CRT 2. If the content of the memory A is discriminated as the display converting signal 10, on the other hand, the PC advances to Step 24 and outputs and displays the program content stored in the first address of the microcomputer program 11 of the memory 11 on the CRT 2, so as to change the display of the SP 9 being displayed to the MP 11.
