PURPOSE:To improve the vertical cracking and oxidation resistances of a deeply drawn article by adding prescribed percentages of C, Si, Mn, Cr, N, Ti, Zr, Nb and Al. CONSTITUTION:The titled oxidation-resistant high-silicon steel consists of, by weight, <=0.018% C, 1-3% Si, 0.3-2% Mn, 8-20% Cr, 0.01-0.025% N and the balance Fe or further contains 0.1-1% Ti+Zr+Nb and/or 0.3-1.5% Al.
