PURPOSE:To provide the titled novel resin having excellent curability and giving a cured article having excellent flexibility and adhesivity, by reacting a bisamino alcohol having a specific structure with an epihalohydrin. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin of formula V (X is group of formula VI) can be produced by the two-stage process comprising the addition reaction of (A) a bisamino alcohol of formula I [R1 is group of formula II (n is 0 or integer of >=1); R2 is group of formula III, IV, etc.] with (B) an epihalohydrin preferably in the presence of a catalyst such as quaternary ammonium salt, and the dehydrohalogenation reaction of the produce with an alkali. The compo nent A is preferably the one having a recurring unit number of 0 and obtained by the condensation of bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin. The amount of the component B is preferably 4-8mol per 1mol of the component A.
