PURPOSE:To prevent the falling-off of a gasket by burying a core metal having a flange part into the plug part of a head cover gasket for sealing the notch formed onto the joint surface between a cylinder head and a head cover and engaging the flange with the edge of the notch. CONSTITUTION:A cut part 20 is formed onto a cylinder head 16 out of the joint surface between the cylinder head 16 and a cylinder-head cover 18, and the plug part 14 of a gasket is fitted into the notch 20. A core metal 40 is buried to the plug part 14, and a flange part 40b is bending-formed on the opened peripheral edge part 40a of the core metal 40. Said plug part 14 is inserted, attached in slidable ways onto the notch peripheral edge 20a of the notch part 20, guided by the flanges 14b and 40b. Therefore, the outward shift of a gasket is regulated for the pressure applied from the inner side of the cylinder head 16, and the falling-off of the gasket can be prevented. |
