<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of an input device by providing plural key array parts and opening parts on a base board together with sensors set at both terminal parts of each key array part and performing the detection of keys from the difference of time points during which the vibrations reach the sensors set at both ends of the key array part when the key array part is pushed. CONSTITUTION:Plural key array parts 6, 8... and opening parts 7 are provided on a base board 9, and sensors 1-5 and 1'-5' are provided at both end parts of each of parts 6, 8.... When the key at an optional position A is pushed among those parts 6, 8..., the vibrating waves produced with push of the key at the position A are transmitted like ripples within the part 6. These waves reach first the sensor 1' and then the sensor 1' with a prescribed delay of time. Then the arriving time points of the waves are detected by the sensors 1' and 1. The input position in the Y axis direction is detected from the time during which the vibrating wave reaches first the sensor. Then the input position in the X axis direction is detected from the difference of time points between sensors at both ends. In such a way, the input positions are detected with high accuracy in a simple constitution.</p> |
