Foamed article is made of high density polyethylene. A composition is composed of 100 wt. part of polyethylene resin, 10 140 wt. part of organic foaming agent and 0.05 - 10 wt. part of foaming retardant. This composition is foamed to give the product. The density of the polyethylene is more than 0.935 g/cm3, and melting point of the polyethylene is more than 117≦̸C. Average pore size of the product is 0.05 - 3 mm, and density of the product is 0.007 - 0.10 g/cm3. This invention improves a mechanical property and heat-resisting property of a foamed article.
