<p>PURPOSE:To improve a degree of responsivenenss in brake pressure control ever so better, by driving a brake piston directly with a piezo-piston. CONSTITUTION:A guide cylinder 19 is formed in a brake caliper 11 as being partitioned off by a diaphragm 18 concentrically with a wheel cylinder 12. Inside this guide cylinder 19, there is provided with a housing 20 free of movement, and a control cylinder 21 is formed inside the housing 20. A piezo-piston 22 is house inside this control cylinder 21, and an oil chamber 24 is formed in position between the piezo-piston 22 and a seal base plate 23 of the control cylinder 21. And, a small piston 25 is adjacently installed in this oil chamber 24, while this piston 25 is connected to a brake piston 13 via a displacement member 26 and a shaft 27. In addition, a piezoelectric mechanism 281 is installed in the housing 20 as being directed to an inner surface of the guide cylinder 19. In time of wheel locking, the piezoelectric mechanism is operated and the housing is locked, while the piezo-piston 22 is expanded or contracted, thus brake pressure is controlled.</p> |
