PURPOSE:To obtain copied images having high quality without color muddiness when this device is applied to a color copying machine, by removing an excess developer stuck to the surface of a photoconductive sensitive body by an excess developer removing means. CONSTITUTION:The excess developer removing means consists of a suction port 11 like a long groove which is provided on the prescribed position of a photosensitive body holding surface 2 in the direction intersecting orthogonally with the direction of an arrow D, an air intake duct 14 which is communicated with the suction port 11 through a connection tube 12 and is formed in a revolving shaft 13, and a forced air intake means 17 which is communicated with the air intake duct 14 through an air intake tube 15 and a waste liquid drain 16. An excess developer 19 of the developer supplied onto a photosensitive body 3 is sucked from the suction port 11 and passes the inside of a photosensitive body holding device 1 and reaches the outside of the photosensitive body holding device 1 and is recovered in the waste liquid drain 16. The aperture part of the suction port 11 is packed overall with a liquid sucking member 18 such as a gelt, a sponge, or the like without spaces.
