PURPOSE:To obtain the Co-base alloy capable of increasing magnetic properties better than an Ni-Co alloy by incorporating Cu and Mo to an Ni-Co alloy. CONSTITUTION:The Co-base alloy for magnetic thin films consisting of, by weight, 8.0-20.0% Ni, 0.5-5.0%, each, of Cu and Mo, and the balance Co, in which Ni content is reduced by the addition of Cu and Mo. In this way, this alloy is made superior in both corrosion resistance and magnetic properties directly affecting the Co content, or can be made equal in either and superior in other, to the conventional alloys.
