PURPOSE:To improve the measurement accuracy for the intake air amount so as to permit the certain engine control by installing a microprocessor which executes the selection control for a switch by receiving the electric signals digitally processed by an A/D converter. CONSTITUTION:A potentiometer 7 outputs the electric signal corresponding to the shift of a shift member which shifts according to the variation of the intake air amount. A switch 12 for selecting the voltage value supplied into the potentiometer 7 or the voltage feeding position to the potentiometer 7 is installed. Said switch 12 is selectively controlled according to the electric signal supplied from the potentiometer 7 by a microprocessor 10. Thus, the intake air amount can be measured with high precision, and the certain engine control is permitted.
