PURPOSE:To enable a rear wheel to employ an independent suspension with ease in a configuration where an engine output power is transmitted to a rear axle by means of chains by installing an intermediate shaft, on both sides of which sprockets are arranged, between the engine and the rear axle. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate shaft 12, on both sides of which sprockets 12a and 12b are arranged rotatably between an engine 10 in a body frame 11 and a rear axle 14. Chains 15 and 19 are installed respectively between a sprocket 10b on an output shaft 10a of the engine 10 which is secured at the center of the body frame 11, and the sprocket 12a, and between a sprocket 14a which is located at the center of the rear axle 14, and the sprocket 12b enabling an engine output power to be transmitted. The rear axle 14 has joints 14b at its both ends permitting them to be connected with drive shafts 18 of a left and a right wheels 17. This configuration enables the engine to be mounted at the center of the body where rear wheels are allowed to employ an independent suspension simply.
