PURPOSE:To attain easy and accurate setting jobs for meters, etc. by displaying the acceptance of a setting item with a pilot lamp when a setting key is pushed and keeping the ON state of the lamp until the next setting item is accepted. CONSTITUTION:When a power supply is applied, an arithmetic means 4 blinks a pilot lamp of a display means 7 to show a setting item. Then an operator pushes a setting key of a setting means 5 and the pilot lamp is kept on the display the setting item. At the same time, another pilot lamp blinks to show the time setting for the next setting item. When the operator pushes a time setting key of the means 5, the corresponding pilot lamp is kept on. This lamp is turned off when a prescribed set time point passes. Then the lamp blinks to show a range of the next setting item. Hereafter the pilot lamps are blinked successively for execution of setting jobs. A series of these actions are controlled by the means 4.
