摘要 PURPOSE:A raw material of starch is ground without steaming, combined with water at a specific weight ratio to effect enzymatic liquefaction, then the enzymatic saccharification is carried out together with alcohol fermentation to enable advantageous production of alcohol for fuel or the like. CONSTITUTION:Inexpensive starch materials such as cassava is washed, peeled and ground into a slurry, then combined with 10-40wt% of water based on the raw material. Then, a liquefaction enzyme such as alpha-amylase is added to effect liquefaction. Further, a saccharification enzyme such as glucoamylase and a yeast are added, the pH is adjusted to a weak acidity to effect simultaneous or sequential enzymatic saccharification and alcohol fermentation. This process enables a high level of alcohol fermentation with a low-quality starch material without maceration using expensive pectinase.
