PURPOSE:To attain small size for a light collecting means of luminescent light offering ease of manufacture by laminating a thin film having a high refractive index having a light inlet grating at one end and a photodetector to the other end to a substrate having a low refractive index so as to form a light guide board and using it as the light collecting means of luminescent light. CONSTITUTION:The light collecting board 1 consists of the substrate 2 having a low refractive index and the thin film 3 having a refractive index formed on the surface of the substrate, the light inlet grating 4 is formed to one end of the thin film 3, the photodetector 5 is connected to the other end and a lens form light collecting section 6 is formed at a midpoint. An excited light 8 scanning a storage fluorescent sheet 7 excites a storage fluorescent layer of the sheet 7, from which the luminescent light 9 corresponding to the picture image information stored and recorded is emitted. After the luminescent light 9 is reflected directly or in a concaved mirror 10, the light is made incident to the light inlet grating 4 of the light collecting board 1, propa gated in the thin film 3 and collected by the lens light collecting part 6, made incident to a photodetecting face of the photodetector 5 and converted into an electric signal. The electric signal corresponds to image information stored and recorded on the sheet 7.
