摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To use efficiently light emitted from a light source for illumination by providing a light emitting element having a light emitting diode, a mold part, and a recessed part and a projection lens arranged before the light emitting element to illuminate a measurement object subjected to automatic focus detection. CONSTITUTION:A conical recessed part 32 is formed in the front of a frame 30, and materials having a high reflection factor are vapor-deposited on the inside face of the recessed part 32. When the frame 30 is stuck to a mold 28, the recessed part 32 is symmetrical with respect to an optical axis 28X of a lens part 28a. This recessed part 32 is narrowed toward the bottom to have a conical shape, and a light emitting diode 34 is stuck to the bottom so that it is placed on the optical axis 28X of the lens part 28a. By this constitution, not only the light emitted from an upper face 34a of the light emitting diode 34 but also the light emitted from its side face 34b is projected to illuminate the focus detection object efficiently.</p>
