PURPOSE:To receive an object frequency in a short time by providing three band switches corresponding to the AM band, an air band and an FM band so as to scan only the required band. CONSTITUTION:Bank switches Ba, Bb, Bc and a skip switch Sk are connected to a microcomputer 50. In depressing the switches Ba-Bc while the switch (k) is being depressed, its operation is made effective. Flags FLGA, FLGB and FLGC corresponding to the switches Ba-Bc are set to an RAM53 and the flags specify whether or not the corresponding band is skipped at scanning. In depressing once a scan switch Ss, the frequency preset to a memory 59 is scanned sequentially and when the final frequency in the memory 59 is scanned, and the first frequency is again scanned. When any of the flags FLGA-FLGC is set to non-skipping at scanning, the corresponding band is skipped by scanning.
