Date Jul. 31, 1986.The present invention relates to a method and a device for determining the moisture content in a moist material in the form of particles or pieces, such as sand, gravel, dry mortar, coal, chips, and the like. In accordance with the invention, partly the cooling effect of the material on a measuring body (1, 35, 41, 50), performing in the material, at a temperature above the boiling point of the liquid, is recorded, the material and the measuring body moving in relation to each other, and partly the cooling effect of the material on a measuring body (2), performing in the material, at a temperature below the boiling point of the liquid, is recorded. The comparison between the two recordings results in a relation, which gives a measure as to the moisture content. |
