PURPOSE:To always keep the relative position with high accuracy between a cartridge and a disk by using the 1st and 2nd shift means coupled mechanically with each other to put a cartridge storage stage relatively close to and apart from a disk holder. CONSTITUTION:Both a cartridge storage stage 38 and a disk holder 60 are put apart from a turntable 36. A cartridge 20 is set on the stage 38 and fixed there by a proper means. When a motor 56 is driven under sudh conditions, both cam shafts 48a and 48b are revolved synchronoussly with each other. Then an eccentric shaft 52 of the 1st rotary cam 50 rolls on the upper surface of a cam follower 54. While the stage 38 moves down by its empty weight and a rotary cam 70 fixed to the cam shaft 48 is also revolved. Thus the holder 60 moves down relatively to the stage 38 via a cam follower 72. As a result of such an approaching shift of the holder 60 to the stage 38, a disk 10 is held between the turntable 36 and a holding plate 68 of the holder 60 at the periphery of a chucking hole 18. Thus the disk 10 is kept under a contactless state.
