PURPOSE:To inspect the presence of the meshing inferiority of a terminal, by measuring the dimension of the coating part or conductor grasping part of a pressure bonded terminal on the basis of the contour line image obtained by picking up the image of a terminal press bonded part to compare the same with a tolerant dimension. CONSTITUTION:The terminal of an electric wire, to which a terminal T is bonded under pressure by a terminal impact machine 5, reaches a photosensor 8c with the revolution of an arm 3 and a stroboscopic light source 8a emits light by the output of the photosensor 8c and the image of said terminal is picked up by a television camera 8b and stationary image data is taken in RAM, CPU reads this image data from RAM and operates the data of the center line CL of the electric wire W to calculate dimensions Xi with respect to three points P1, P2, P3 and the dimensions obtained squaring said dimensions are cumulated and added while dimensions Yi with respect to three points P1, P2, P3 are calculated and respectively squared to be cumulated and added. If these cumulated valves exceed a tolerant value, the judgement of an inferior product is performed. By this method, the usual meshing inferiority of the press bonded part can be inspected relatively simply and certainly. |
