This arrangement of a bar 1 of a slatted side on a vertical upright 2, especially on a flat bed lorry, comprises a retaining member 4 in the shape of a U-shaped fixture 5 fixed to the upright 2. This member 4 intended to receive and to retain a tab 3 fixed perpendicularly to one end of the bar 1 is equipped with a spring leaf 10, an end portion of which forms a nose 11 intended to come to bear on the tab 3 when the latter is introduced into the retaining member 4. This bearing piece 11 formed by the nose of the leaf 10 exerts a force on the tab 3 and thus contributes to maintaining the bar 1 on the upright 2. <IMAGE>
