PURPOSE:To contrive a construction to be simplified and to make possible a sharp printing to be obtained, by providing a plurality of bimorph cells and a plurality of needles to a supporting body in a manner that they are movable in the front and rear directions relative to a platen, and further providing a lamination type piezo-electric element and an operation transmission mechanism that magnifies the expansion and contraction movements thereof. CONSTITUTION:The bimorph cells 6 and the needles 17 are provided being connected in a housing 18. The housing 18 is retained in a supporting body 20 movable to and from a platen 19, one end of a laminated type piezo-electric element 9 is fixed, and an operation transmission mechanism 21 is provided. A stroke of the needles 17 is compensated by an advancing operation of the housing 18, and the piezo-electric elements 6 can be respectively of a small amount of a deflection, and makes possible to be miniaturized, since an amount of the expansion and constraction E of the piezo-electric element 9 is magnified by the levers 26, 27, when the supporting body 20 is displaced along the platen 19, and the piezo-electric elements 6, 9 are driven. A high speed printing is also carried out, since the piezo-electric element 9 has a quick motion and a large driving power. |
